NOTICE: Newsletter & bulletin board to include daily project summary reports

To bring transparency to the blog, I am going to begin posting daily summary reports of the current projects in the works here within the blog. These summary reports will appear here, on the bulletin board below the header, and every newsletter will also carry the latest report.
Lastly, the edition of the summary report in the newsletter will be accompanied with a written report addressing the upcoming plans for the blog.

First Post; The Experiment Starts...

Thank you for visiting my chess blog. I have started this blog as a cooperative, public effort. All the projects I work on are meant to involve the participation of my readers, and serve as learning aids, to help us all improve our games.

To get this started off with a kick, I have devised an experiment based on public consensus. I will post polls on here, and I encourage all of you to vote on the best move. When the game is finished, I will analyze it, run it through Frtiz 11, and use the results as a starting point to fan out to related games with similar positions. Using more polls, answered by loyal participants, I will investigate possible off-shoots and variations.

Also, I am now opening to all game submissions to my database. The database I am creating is designed to be a small sample of games, with strong analysis and inclusion of realistic variations and possibilities. You may e-mail notation of games you wish to have added to the database to me at exeterstreet@ymail.com. Once this database starts to get a roll on the growth, I will begin including annotated, analyzed games in some of my posts, as well as offering the entire database for download.

The first poll, regarding White's opening move in the collective game, is at the top of the page.

Which trait would you most like to see in the game I analyze next?,

Which opening is the best choice

How should Black respond?
